Due to recent events, we at Heritage Animal Hospital are working with our suppliers and industry partners to source Canadian products as much as possible. Many of our products come to us through integrated supply chains and are a combination of Canadian and American raw materials and manufacturing. Where Canadian alternatives exist, we will replace existing stock with these equivalent products. This will both support Canadian businesses and hopefully mitigate some of the price increases that are expected to occur should tariffs come into effect. Where this is not possible, we will supply products that are sourced internationally or from companies with more Canadian ingredients and manufacturing. We are also working to be more transparent about the origin of the products we sell.
At all times we will continue to supply reputable, veterinary approved products. We will continue to special order (or have available through our online store) all products we currently provide. We know in many cases the health of our patients is dependent on very specific products.
We will continue to monitor the current situation and do all we can to support both our patients and our fellow Canadians.
Sincerely,
Heritage Animal Hospital

Wellness exams should start when your kitten or puppy is about 8 weeks of age. Regular examinations throughout the life of your pet allow us to discuss any issues you may have and to potentially address medical problems before they become serious. The veterinarian will discuss what vaccinations are recommended and how often depending on your pet‘s individual needs.
The veterinarian will discuss the appropriate age at which to spay or neuter your pet.
Our hospital can perform most soft tissue surgeries that may be required throughout your pet’s life.
Orthopedic issues can be assessed and diagnosed. Advanced orthopedic surgeries will be referred to an appropriate specialist.
Our fully equipped in-house laboratory allows us to perform both diagnostic and wellness testing in real time. We work with three outside laboratories in order to facilitate any specialized tests your pet may require.
We are equipped with high quality digital X-Ray to help diagnose internal and orthopedic conditions.
Ultrasound can be performed by a specialist on-site as required.
Regular dental care is an essential part of maintaining your pet’s health. We can perform digital dental X-Rays, ultrasonic cleaning, and surgical extractions as required. We also offer products and training to help care for your pet’s teeth at home.
Proper nutrition for your pet is an essential tool in maintaining health and vitality. If we do not have your pet’s required medication available to us, we can arrange to have it compounded through a specialty pharmacy. Is your cat hard to pill? Ask us about having the medication formulated into a liquid or even a topical application.
